Agentic Data Plane

Find and Manage Agents

The Agents list shows every managed and self-managed AI agent in your Redpanda Agentic Data Plane environment in one table. Use it to find an agent, compare agents by what they spend, and start, stop, or delete agents without opening each one. Each agent’s name carries an icon that shows whether Redpanda manages it or you run it yourself. Hover over the icon to see which.

After reading this page, you will be able to:

  • Find an agent by name, status, model, or tag

  • Sort and filter agents by 30-day spend and budget usage

  • Start, stop, or delete agents from the list

Find an agent

  1. Open Agents in the sidebar.

  2. To find an agent by name, type part of the name in the search box.

  3. To narrow the list, add a filter:

    • Status: One or more of Running, Updating, Stopped, Starting, Stopping, Degraded, Failed, Creating, or Deleting.

    • Model: A model name. The filter suggests models from the agents already listed.

    • Tag: A tag in the form key=value, such as team=support. The filter suggests tags from the agents already listed.

The list keeps the search, filters, sort order, and page in the page URL. Bookmark or share the URL to return to the same view.

Read the columns

Column What it shows

Name

The agent’s name. Click it to open the agent.

Status

The agent’s current state, such as Running or Failed. Status isn’t tracked for self-managed agents.

Model

The model the agent uses. Unknown means a managed agent has no model configured, or that the model of a self-managed agent isn’t tracked.

Tags

Up to three of the agent’s tags. Click the overflow badge to see the rest.

Spend · 30d

What the agent spent over the last 30 days. Every row uses the same rolling 30 days, so you can compare agents directly.

Budget

How much of the agent’s budget it has used in that budget’s own period, such as 62% · month. Hover over the cell to see the amount spent against the limit, the warning amount when the agent is near it, and when requests resume if the agent exceeds the budget.

A dash in the Tags or Budget column means the agent has no tags or no budget that applies to it. When spend or budget data couldn’t be loaded, the cell also shows a dash. Hover over it to see what failed to load.

An agent uses its own budget when it has one. Otherwise, the default budget applies. See Set Up Budgets.

When the table doesn’t fit its space, columns drop in this order: Tags, Budget, Model, Spend · 30d, and Status. The Name column always stays.

Sort agents

The list sorts by name by default. Click the Name, Model, or Spend · 30d column header to sort by that column. Spend sorts highest first.

Sorting by spend loads every agent that matches your search and filters, not just the current page. If spend can’t be loaded, the list sorts by name instead.

Act on one agent

Click an agent’s row to open its Settings tab.

To act on an agent without opening it, open its row menu and click one of the following:

  • View details: Opens the agent.

  • Copy ID: Copies the agent’s ID.

  • Start or Stop: Starts a managed agent that’s set to stopped, or stops one that’s set to run. Self-managed agents don’t have this action.

  • Copy endpoint URL: Copies a managed agent’s endpoint URL.

  • Delete: Deletes the agent. Type the agent’s name as the list shows it to confirm.

Delete several agents

  1. Select the checkbox for each agent you want to delete.

  2. In the selection bar, click Delete followed by the number of agents selected, such as Delete 3. To clear your selection without deleting, click Cancel instead.

  3. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete again. You don’t have to type anything.

You can’t undo a deletion. If some deletions fail, the list shows which ones.
